We did it! The @Webunilag family is now over 1,000 strong on X (Twitter). Our community is growing and organically i must add. I remember when we had our first 100 followers about a year ago now we have built a great community on X from curious web3 enthusiasts to a whole community of builders, learners, and believers—this milestone means the world to us.

Noble Nigeria Community Meetup
We partnered with @noble_nigeria for their first ever community meet up in Nigeria and guess what? Real ones link up IRL! Noble’s Lagos hangout brought together some of the brightest minds building in the space with interesting discussions around yields, stablecoins and composable yields. It was very insightful, if you were at the event i am sure you will agree with me and if you missed we got you covered with some of the highlights from the event👇🏼.
Bitcoin Pizza Day Fest
On the 22nd of May, we celebrated the most delicious moment in crypto history — Bitcoin Pizza Day😋
Did you know? In 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz made the first real-world Bitcoin transaction by buying two pizzas for 10,000 BTC — worth billions today. This simple act proved that Bitcoin could be used as money, marking a milestone in crypto adoption and sparking a tradition the entire crypto community honors every year.
This year, Web3 Unilag joined the fun by teaming up with the Crypto Bootcamp Community for a pizza hangout at Lamango Restaurant, Ikeja, Lagos. Some of our members also chilled at the CITS Garden, enjoying games and good vibes thanks to sponsorship from Roqqu. It was a day of great conversations, memes, laughter, and a tasty reminder of how far Bitcoin has come since those legendary pizzas.
Stellar West Africa Conference
The Stellar WA Conference was straight fire; and you know we had to be there big time.
Stellar West Africa have been great partners to us, so when the call came, we pulled up in full force.
On May 31st, over 70+ of our crew stormed The Zone, Gbagada, alongside 1,100+ other star builders, creatives, and Web3 leaders. It was a packed house buzzing with energy, ideas, and genuine excitement about how Stellar is powering real-world assets and pushing boundaries in the blockchain space.
The conference was a solid reminder that West Africa is quickly becoming the place for blockchain innovation — and we’re proud to be right in the middle of all the action. Here’s to more connections, more learning, and more showing up for what’s next.
